Phuket Chapter 1 (Bangla Road & Phi Phi Island)

Guess what? we got ourselves a return tix to Phuket Island, Thailand on 5th - 8th March 2014, for about 200+ ringgit. Thanks AirAsia!

After all research done, we were ready for our trip to Phuket! That morning we went to LCCT (still) as our flight was scheduled at 8.00AM, 5th March 2014. We checked in without luggage and wait for the flight in front of the gate. We got so excited and started to take pics. So as we wait, suddenly we saw our friend came, his flight was to Krabi. Later than us. Then we realized, eh? Where is our flight?!...we got too excited that we dint realized the gate was closed. But to our surprised, there was lots of other people who sat there but did not got into the flight. The reason was, the gate only open for few minutes and closed half an hour earlier than they supposed to. The area around it got no speaker. Thus, we did not hear any announcement made by AirAsia. We went to the gate and demand explanation, the stewardess actually tried to help us, she contacted the flight as they were not even moved an inch yet! But the rude steward didn't want to speak to the pilot and said, cannot (maybe a egoistic guy). The pilot actually didn't know about this. The stewardess even said 'they already checked in' but the steward in the flight said 'no baggage right' rudely. Freakin arrogant! The stewardess then said 'ive tried'. She did tried. She said we can go to the complaint counter. The shit thing is we need to go thru the immigration office for that cos we 'missed our flight'. And oh boy, how the uncivilised immigration officers liked it. They like to tease us because we are different. And start calling our name, real name out loud. Until one female immi officer take over and she treated us good. damn these poyo immigration officers.

So after that we went to the complaint counter for Air Asia. We sent our best 'complaint agents' hihi..which is Joshi and Sha. They were fighting by pointing all of Air Asia's fault with the speaker, the gate etc. Even the manager came. The guy from customer service counter told us that 'cust should know which gate it is to phuket' like wtf! We do not work there and your boarding pass obviously didn't state which gate, it was blank!. There was one uncle said 'i tunggu itu gate bukak tapi tadak bukak' means the gate was never open. So after quite a while of fighting, we come with a solution. The manager offer us another plane ticket late that day around 6PM but we have to  pay RM100 for it bcos it was our negligence as well. So we agreed, we wanna go phuket!. TIPS: Be careful with AA, come early and be aware of the surrounding, make sure the gate no is correct

It was still early at that time so we decided to rest at Tune Hotel there. We took 2 rooms, as usual cramp space, everything is limited. But we just wanna rest because we were so tired. We check in and rest. At around 4PM we already in front of the gate to show em that we are now in front of your face. So we board the flight and arrive at Phuket International Airport around 6.30PM Thailand time, where its already almost dark.

Sha looking at the map, like finally!'

We took taxi to our Hotel near Patong. Our hotel name is Amici Miei and i had already informed them that we were gonna arrive late via email. Enough of the stress part, now let me tell you bout all the fun thing in Phuket! Our hotel Amici Miei was fantastic!. The rooms on 3rd floor is huge and comfy!. Theres only 3 room and we booked all 3 for 8 of us. I would suggest this hotel if u wanna go Phuket. The staffs were also friendly. The concept of the hotel is Italian as the owner is Italian. TIPS: book this hotel if u want a comfortable and cheap stay!

Our hotel!
We checked in and as our flight has been 'delayed' grrr...so day 1 itinerary is no longer applicable. So we checked in and rest for a while in our room. Around 9.00AM we went out to the Banzaan market for dinner, there are few halal places around here. Its like a night market and outside they have food stalls. TIPS: The food stalls here is one of the cheapest compared to the rest

Banzaan Market

We had some tomyam, quite expensive and the taste is like..hmm okay la. We bought also some finger food and drinks and also some fruits. After that we started walking around the area. There were lots of places selling clothes and swimwear, like lots lotssss. There are also Thai Boxing Stadium there and at that time there was a show going on as u can hear it from the outside of the stadium,

Kickboxing!

We went back to our hotel, but not back to our room, hihihi..but to the infamous Bangla Road in Patong! It was just about 3-5min walking distance from our hotel. This area is a big party place for well, everything. Flock with tourists from all over the world!

There were bars with russian girls, thai girls, thai transgirls, and also men. Like this one guy, start showing us promotion for the ping-pong show, but we were not interested, so he said 'we also have men' ..like wtf?! hahahaha.. Lots of clubs like The A go go rock hard with pole dancers, heroes bar and others. TIPS: Dont bring kids!

Rock hard bebeh! hahah
dancing in the table, not in the moonlight :P
want some russian ay?
Then there was this area where lots of ppl esp guys gather around, guess what. The famous show of Thai Transgenders :D the pride of Thai.

i tried to avoid using the term 'ladyboys' cos it was created by men associating transwomen to showgirls job etc. The girls were so pretty! with their wings and all. They take tips with people who take pics with em. Lots of the white guys interested, like keep on staring at them like an angel has landed in Phuket, lol.We walk till the end of the road until we saw the Patong beach. the we walk back and started checking out the other side of the roads where they sells bags, clothes n stuff. TIPS: Bargain!!
We stopped at the pharmacy to buy hormones..hihihi..as everybody knows, the hormones are cheaper in Thailand. we bought about 5 boxes of Sucee (they pronounce is at Susi). I did bought a shawl of rainbow colors..hehe so many meaning. But hey, its tropical, everybody loves a rainbow :D. I bought its bcos the next day we are going to Phi Phi island..mhhmm.. we went back to hotel after that and had a good night sleep.

That 6th March morning at 7.00am we already standing at the hotel lobby waiting for the Van to pick us up for our Phi Phi trip. We booked the trip from the hotel itself. They provide us a pickup to jetty, for Phi Phi Tour, together with boat & lunch on the island and back to hotel. All for 900baht . The van arrives 30min late, duhh..it was about 20 - 30min drive to the jetty. After that we were loaded into the big boat. The travel time from  Phuket to Phi Phi was almost 3 hours. my god! But the announcer on the boat was so funny, the way he told the guest to adhere to the rules, the schedule of the trip was hilarious. In a strong thai accent. TIPS: Most tours include all this, so no worries

loaded into the big boat!
At first we couldnt find a seat bcos that van driver was late remember. We have to seat on the stairs, or just stand, yea really. Standing means u can see the view, so we did stand, then we seat on the stairs again, esp me, sha and aman.

the stairs girls
It was pretty dizzy on the boat u know. Luckily they sell lots of mango with some chilli flakes. damn, i loved it. haha. I bought i guess 3 of it. TIPS: The sourness helped me with the dizziness. Aman and my other friend joshi, started walking around to check out the boat, well esp the passengers, hihi. There were 3 floors and one VIP lounge. Jenny started feeling sick after an hour...as the heat and long trip really got to her. The boat assistant gave her some pills to help with the sea sickness. and advise her to seat at the back. TIPS: Prepare pills for seasick, sit at the back & mind you that Phuket is extremely hot from all the island ive been too, Phuket is the hottest one.  So, we talk and enjoy the view and the handsome tourists (hahahaha) while some of us esp Jenny feeling dizzy. We ended up sitting at the back of the boat while waiting to reach Phi Phi.

the back of the boat and we are reaching Phi Phi Islands
We reached Phi Phi islands area and there are lots of islands surround it. My eyes caught the beauty of one island from far, So beautiful. The announcer then said 'On your left side is the Maya Bay' . like , no wonder you are so pretty lil island!. For you that born on the year 2010 (lol!), Maya bay was the place where the movie The Beach took place. starring Leonardo DiCaprio. As i was enjoying the view, the song Pure Shores by All Saints playing in my head. As i am typing this i am playing that song, hihihihihi :P

Maya Bay, a stunning island

Beautiful isn't it? We did not stop there, but the boat made 1 big round there. TIPS: If you want to go there directly, there are tons of tour package which you can ask and maybe bargain. Including some other few islands.

leaving Maya Bay
This island here called Koh Phi Phi Don, this is the area where we stopped for snorkling, :D

Snorkeling
I do not know how to swim btw, so i wear life jackets, so does Sha. Not everyone went into the water. Jenny did not, cos she was sick. Sha at first did not, but the water was so tempting as the weather was soooo friggin hot, so she dive in. The water was crystal clear yes, but not that much of a fish or coral. From what i heard it was destroyed during the Asian tsunami 2004. The tragic event that hit South east asia and other part of asia. Maybe that;s why the water was extremely salty compared to others that ive been to.

my fav pic, so of course ill put it here, hihi..before going into the water.
This is us in the water, u can see the water and the island behind us, like a cliff.  This place hold 1001 memories.

Pure shores

Sha Shores :P
Andaman Sea is just fascinating! The boat then took us to the Phi Phi island, the main island. This island actually located in Krabi area. We arrived at Phi Phi and there were people taking photo of us, like 'wait, im a celebrity now?" ..ahaha...nope. TIPS: They sell it for 100baht each.  I'll show you that pic later yall :D .

the fish welcome us!
the rainbow ended in Phi Phi Pier

Phi Phi is an amazing island, there were lots of tourists, bicycles, activities and stuff. But first, we went to have lunch first, included in the package. and it was halal. I learned that Phi Phi is a muslim majority island and the worst hit during the 2004 tsunami. Our dinner was amayyyzingg. So delicious, so Thai.

We filled our tummy and started touring the island. Lots of bars, souvenirs shops, hotels, hostels and handsome guys :P handsome guys on bicycle, lol!!.  There were also tour agent promoting their activities around the island. Obviously we took lots of pics there.

Aman & joshi, with their own sense of fashion, it was scorching hot!
I love love just love Phi Phi! We enjoyed the beach there and we saw this one white guy covering up his pants and holding a mineral water, very suspiciously. I dont know what he was doing but im pretty sure he have this fetish of 'doing something' in public in front of the beach, mankind is weird. He know we saw it and start covering himself looking nervous. whatever!..

<3 no words

how can u not love this view!
No, its not Vietnam...hahaha, still Phi Phi, going back to Phuket
TIPS: If you have time, u can stay one night in Phi Phi, the night life is amazing from what i heard. We didn't get the chance this time, maybe in future, So after we had great time there in Phi Phi. We get back on the big boat, It was this time that the people showed to you your photo, and mine was great! so i bought it, it was in a frame already, so easy for me..hihihi.

mm hmm i know i know, clap2, candid at its best, hihihii :P
Another 2 hours plus boat ride back to Jetty, this time Jenny was ready for the seasick experience., haha. Bye Phi Phi, miss ya! Back to Phuket island. The Van sent us back to our hotel. We rest and freshen up. That night we went to the food market again to have dinner.

The restaurant we had dinner was Malaysian owned. We eat quite a lot maybe cos we were tired and fried from the blazing sun. hehehe. We did walk around and i ended up buying few dresses, hahahaha...its pretty hoccay! weirdly most shops there hired bangladeshi workers, so we are used to em since lots of em work here in Malaysia too. We got some dresses at cheap price cos we have Jenny to flirt with em a lil...hahaha, a girl got to do her magic for discounts..hihhihi. The bangladeshis was soo happy, so win-win, lol...not with me, cos they are not keen to dark skin..hahaha..lucky me. White man does few times, look at me like they saw a chocolate cake...meh,. verangan!!

The walk with the Tuk Tuk passing by ;)
We booked another tour from an agency along the road at our hotel for our activity the next day, That girl knows we trans, she said 'you are thai lady' . That how they addressed us politely, unlike some malaysian with all the vulgar words. hmm. So, after that we went back to hotel to rest, tireddd lots of fun in one day! The next day the van for day tour will be waiting for us at 8am sharp. stay tune for the info on Day 3 & 4! XOX
